Ste. Genevieve, Missouri is host to numerous fairs, festivals, and town events all throughout the year. Our town offers something for all interests! These events take place in the Historic Downtown District and located right in the heart of it all, Audubon’s Hotel is the perfect place to stay while visiting!

La Guiannée

New Years Eve

A 250-year-old tradition, locals come together and share in this long-standing event by taking to the streets of our Historic Downtown District, visiting restaurants and pubs, to sing and play songs of the season. Don’t miss out!

Spring Garden Walk

Weekend after Mother's Day

Come tour the private and public gardens of Ste. Genevieve’s Historic Downtown during the annual Spring Garden Walk. Many of these gardens are part of our town’s historic homes and represent the 18th Century time period. Activities include a plant sale, private vendors, discounts at local merchants, art exhibits and a Farmers Market on Saturday. 

French Heritage Festival

Second Weekend in June

Come celebrate over 300 years of French culture and traditions in Ste. Genevieve’s Historic Downtown District. You’ll experience period re-enactors, live music, folk dancing, historic home tours, tea with “Marie Antoinette”, children’s activities, French foods, wine, beer and more!

Freedom Celebration

July Fourth in Pere Marquette Park

Come experience our country’s birthday in the oldest settlement in Missouri. Enjoy live music, honor salutes, patriotic speeches and fireworks! Admission is free!

Jour de Fete

Second Full Weekend in August

Stay with us and experience a weekend browsing through Southeast Missouri’s largest craft fair! Visitors can enjoy arts and crafts, live music, living history and much more at this family friendly event.

Rural Heritage Day

October

For those who want to experience what life was like in our founding days, Ste. Genevieve’s Rural Heritage Day offers demonstrations in farming, cooking, spinning, lace making, leather working, soap making, wood carving and much more! Later that evening, check out the “Spirit Reunion” where costumed ‘spirits’ tell stories of the early settlers at the Memorial Cemetery

Holiday Christmas Festival

Second Full Weekend in December

Get in the holiday spirit by enjoying a wonderland of festivities at Ste. Genevieve’s Holiday Christmas Festival. Free Holiday music is performed by regionally renowned musicians at the churches and other Downtown venues, and other activities include a Christmas parade, caroling, picture with Santa, the Art Guild Art Show and Sale, shop refreshments, an old-fashioned Christmas Tree lighting, and much more.
